Abstract
The purpose of this study to identify the size of job-related accidents and injuries among aircraft maintenance workers. We studied the frequence, intensity, and patterns of job-related accidents and injury during a 5-year period in a aircraft
maintenance shop in Korea. Investigations of the major occupational health effects of the shop usually focus on the safety management of their workers. We reviewd 109 employer's first report-of-injury & accidents forms from the shop for the 60
months
from January 1, 1990, to December 31, 1994. Major findings were as follow :
1. 5-year average frequency of job related injury and accidents were 59 and 50, respectively without and special annual rends.
2. 5-year average prevalence, frequency, and intensity of job-related injury and accidents were 3.32 per 1,000 workers, 1.49 per 1,000,000 working hours. and 9.9 per 1,000 working hours. repectively with annually declining trends.
3. The longer duration of working, the more job-related accidents contrary to the shorter duration of wowrking, the more job-related injury.
4. 5-yerar job-related accidents and injury was occurred mainly at afternoon working time zone (13 : 01-17 : 00) contrary to job-related injury was highest frequency at morning time zone (09 : 01-13:00).

The health professional should also establish a committee within the organization to plan health and safety reviews and follow-up activities and to act as a resource for management. Ergonomists, industrial engineers, safety engineers, human
